Fondation Hirondelle est une organisation suisse à but non lucratif créée en 1995 par les journalistes suisses Philippe Dahinden, Jean-Marie Etter et François Gross. Elle a repris Radio Agatashya (« Radio Hirondelle »), lancée avec Reporters Sans Frontières après le génocide au Rwanda en 1994. Depuis sa création, la Fondation Hirondelle a créé ou soutenu plus de 300 médias d'information indépendants dans 18 pays en situation de crise ou de transition démocratique. En 2016, son volume financier était de 10 millions de francs suisses, avec 12 opérations et 167 employés dans 10 pays.
