L'ABVL Association des Amis des Bateaux à Vapeur du Léman s'efforce de sauvegarder et de préserver la flotte Belle Epoque de la Compagnie Générale de Navigation (CGN), classée comme monument historique. Cette flotte, composée de huit magnifiques bateaux construits entre 1904 et 1927, est menacée par l'usure du temps en raison du manque de moyens financiers pour sa rénovation. Avec des coûts de rénovation estimés entre 10 et 15 millions de francs suisses par bateau, seuls quatre d'entre eux ont pu être sauvés à ce jour. L'ABVL s'engage à trouver des solutions pour préserver ce trésor du Léman et sensibiliser le public à son importance historique et culturelle.
